今次講講Sound Crew平日沒有表演時
需要做的事
即Maintenance保養期
器材跟女人一樣
絕對需要很好的保養及照顧
否則
它可是會選在最重要的時候罷工的
不單是重要的器材如Mixer/麥克風/擴音器/音箱要常檢查
一般小東西如電線/DI Box/電線輸入及輸出(Input/Output)等都一定要好好保養

因為通常最易出問題的一定是電線/插頭等
繞好電線放整齊亦可以令台上或Sound Crew工作更有效率
檢查控制台(Mixer/Console)各音軌(Channel)及Fader
(Fader詳情)
另外要確保不同的電池亦常有足夠數量
無線麥克風/電貝斯/Active DI Box/電結他的一些效果器都需要不同的電池
工具箱中有好些東西是必需的
原子筆鉛筆Sharpie紙是基本
膠紙(Duck Tape)螺絲套裝(screw driver set)工具刀
如果有SPL(sound pressure level) meter/Soldiering Iron等就更好
當然沒有的話是沒問題的
除工具上作準備外
台上都可以作一些小預備
例如
張貼一些小標籤小提示在台上
這樣就有比較清晰明確的指示給台上的人
例如:請勿拍打麥克風
或音箱的開關或音量大少的指示等
另外標籤好控制台的各音軌(channel)亦非常緊要
其實只要平日功夫做足一點
多留意身邊小事物
工作就會簡單輕鬆多
而身邊的人亦會更易於合作
解釋一下為什麼不要拍打麥克風吧...很多人都不曉得那是一種不人道的虐待行為!

ReplyDeleteIMO, I think it is important to coil the cables properly after use, instead of laying them around and letting people trample on them, or coiling them improperly such that they break easily. Also, when buying/making cables, pay special attention to how the connector part is constructed because that's where most damage is done. A $5 difference between two cables can mean longevity difference of a few years.

You know what, I absolutely hate when people don't wrap the cable or wrap it the wrong way! Now I started to be more tolerant in that coz most of the people don't know the difference and don't care! If I started bXXXXing about this kinda matter, people will think I am pretentious or being a jerk!! Actually I really love to make my own cable, Soldering is so FUN!! And when you look into the cable, you'll find that good connectors look so nice and clean and shiny!! Fascinating!!!
